Wilma I. Pheifer

Private family funeral services for WILMA I. PHEIFER, 97, will be held held at WEAVER & RANDOLPH FUNERAL HOME CLAYTON with burial to follow in Clayton Cemetery next to her husband, Harvey, of 49 years, who preceded her in death Aug. 11, 1988. A "Celebration of Life" service will be held at the FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH CLAYTON at a later date.

Wilma was born in Morgan County, a daughter of Charles and Lula (Hyatt) Sawyer. She was a 1939 graduate of Mooresville High School. Wilma was truly a servant. She served her church as a deaconess, as Clerk/Treasurer for the Town of Clayton for 8 years, a former girl scout leader. and as a volunteer for many years in the Chaplain Services at Hendricks County Regional Health as well as a volunteer for the Hendricks County Meals On Wheels Program. Survivors include her children, Raymond Pheifer, of Bloomfield, In., Ramona L. Bash, of Argos, In., Ronda (Terry) Grib, of Dillsburg, PA., 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 2 brothers, Keith and Kenneth Sawyer, both of Mooresville.
