Tracy Earl Lewis

Tracy 81, of Indianapolis, formerly of New Winchester, IN. passed away at Greenwood Meadows Nursing Care Sunday evening. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, April 22, 2020 in Fairview Cemetery at North Salem, IN. The family has asked those attending the service please wear a mask with social distancing being observed.

Tracy was born in Indianapolis to the late Eugene V. and Marjorie Irene (Pefley) Lewis. He was a graduate of the former New Winchester High School, and received an associate degree in mechanics from IUPUI University in Indianapolis. Tracy had been a guage inspector at General Motors/Detroit Diesel Allison in Indianapolis for 30 years, retiring in 1990. After retiring, Tracy had lived in Punta Gorda, FL. until 2016. His memberships and former memberships include New Winchester Christian Church, Whitestone Christian Church, Bridgeport, IN., Masonic Lodge #162 F.&AM, and the Scottish Rite, Indianapolis Valley.

Survivors include his children, Jeffrey S. (Shari) Lewis, Rodney (Mary) Lewis, all of Indianapolis, Holly (Chris) Pearson of Frankfort, IN., 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Tracy was also preceded in death by a brother, Roger Lewis.
