Thomas "Tom" May, Sr.

A memorial service will be held for "Tom", 79, at 2:00 pm Thurs., Dec. 21, 2017 at WHITESTONE CHRISTIAN CHURCH, located 7 miles west of Danville on U.S. Hwy. 36. Visitation will take place there from 12 noon until time of service.

"Tom" was born in Elkridge, WVA., the son of James and Mary (Liberation) May. He was a life-long truck driver, most recently driving for Preston 151 Line from 1981 until retiring in 1998. "Tom" was a member of Teamsters Local #135, and had served his country in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed his family, friends, fishing, and playing golf. "Tom" had kindly requested that instead of flowers, please donate to his favorite charity, the SERVICE DOG PROJECT of IPSWICH, MA. Donation information may be found at www.ServiceDogProject.org. To honor him in this way will be greatly appreciated by his family.

Survivors include his wife, Jacquenette "Jackie" (Irelan) May, children, Shelia (Ron) McKim, Teresa (Art) Parsley, Tom May, Jr., step-daughter, Mindy (Norm) Tuttle, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
