So much could be said about a woman of her character and age. Unfortunately, we have limited lines to do so in this page of information. Her life will be shared by her family with the wonderful capsule of her life in the services that will follow. Thelma was truly a woman "ahead of her time". She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, homemaker, serving her family with the ability to cook, bake, and create the most wonderful fruit cakes that have been available at the Court House Grounds Restaurant, even after she was unable to be there working at 100 years of age. Thelma was a talented professional photographer, had worked at the former Hendricks County Hospital as a "ward clerk" for 30+ years and "taking care of business" at the Court House Grounds for 20 years.

Survivors include her children, Kenneth (Sue) Stephenson, Beverly Jones, B. Carol (Donald) Dodson, B. Jane (Wayne) Auger, all of Danville, daughter-in-law, Marie Stephenson - Bloomington, 18 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, 32 great great grandchildren, and a sister, Maurine Pugmire - San Diego, CA. Thelma was also preceded in death by her son, George Larry Stephenson.
