Terry Wayne Summers

Funeral services for Terry, 74, will be held at 2:00 pm Fri., Nov. 9, 2018 at WEAVER & RANDOLPH FUNERAL HOME CLAYTON, with visitation from 12 noon until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Stilesville Cemetery with military honors.

Terry was born in Brazil, IN., a son of the late Richard and Eloise (Starrett) Summers. He was a graduate of Van Buren High School in Brazil. Terry married Cheryl Hamilton on Mar. 6, 1971 in Plainfield. He had been employed at Olin Brass (formerly Bridgeport Brass) in Indianapolis for 35+ years, retiring in 2001. He attended Harmony Baptist Church in Avon, was a member of the Greencastle, IN. Moose Lodge, and served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed and was an avid pool player.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Cheryl, daughters, Cincotta (Terry) Lippard of Catersburg, April Summers of Ft. Gratiot, MI., grandchildren, Joe and Ciara Lippard, a brother, Cletis Ummers of Rosedale, IN., sisters, Dameta Rooze of Wingate, IN., and Rita Summers of Monrovia. Terry was preceded in death by his brothers, Enos and Randall Summers, and a sister, Xenia Nelson.
