Terrence "Terry" L. Harstad

Terry Harstad, 70, of Danville, passed away in the early morning on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Hendricks Regional Hospital after a brief illness.  At his request, he will be cremated and services will be private.

Terry was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to the late Gerald P. and Shirley L. (Skweres) Harstad.  He grew up in Ojai, California where he became a Police Officer and Sheriff's Deputy. Terry moved to Pahrump, Nevada where he worked in Construction and met the love of his life.  Terry married Shirley Barton on November 11, 2001 before moving to Danville, IN in 2009.  In his younger days, Terry loved riding horses and bull riding in rodeo competitions. He enjoyed working on cars and was recently working to restore a 1999 Mustang GT convertible.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Harstad, son, Jared Barton of Danville, daughter, April (Hunter) Burchett of Danville, grandchildren, Shauine and Jesse Barton, and Jade and Opal Burchett.  Also surviving is his sister, Jacqueline Harstad.
