Rosalie B. Easley

May 19, 1921 — April 1, 2020

Rosalie, 98, passed away at her home Wednesday evening with her family at her bedside. Due to the unfortunate COVID-19 Virus situation, only private family visitation and services will be held at WEAVER & RANDOLPH FUNERAL HOME DANVILLE on Sat., April 4, 2020. Burial will follow in New Winchester Cemetery.

Rosalie was born in Barlow, Kentucky to the late Charlie and Emma Jane (Dunn) Barr. She married Carl Thomas Easley July 12, 1942, he preceded her in death Aug. 15, 2005. She and Carl had been residents of the Danville, New Winchester communities for 60 years. Rosalie had worked in the tabulating department at Hygrade Meat Company in Indianapolis for 15 years, 1943-1958 and had lovingly served helping the mental and handicapped persons at the former Opportunity Cottage in Danville, now Sycamore Services, for 15 years, 1968-1983. She had been an active member of West Bridge Church in Danville, as well as the Ladies Auxillary of the former New Winchester VFW Post.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Roger (Jennifer) Rayl of Bloomington, Wayne Rayl of Danville, Jennifer (Jeremy) Retherford of Markle, IN., great grandchildren, Alexis, Austin, Devin, Kyler, and Daniel. Rosalie was also preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty June and Kenneth Rayl, and sister, Yvonne Broadwell.

Contributions maybe given to West Bridge Church in memory of Rosalie.
