Ronald L. "Ron" Irvine

Ron, 81, passed away at home early Saturday morning with his family at his bedside. Due to the unfortunate COVID-19 Virus situation, only PRIVATE family visitation and funeral services will be held at WEAVER & RANDOLPH FUNERAL HOME CLAYTON on Wed., April 8, 2020. Burial will follow in Clayton Cemetery with military honors.

Ron was born in Sullivan, IN. to the late Otto E. and Maude Elizabeth (Ballard) Irvine. He graduated from Sullivan High School with the class of 1957. Ron married Esther Fagan in 1966 in Sullivan. Ron had been a communications technician at Duke Energy for 20 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Sullivan (IN.) First Baptist Church, and the American Legion Post #0707 in Indianapolis. Ron served his country in the United States Army and Army Reserve.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Esther, children, Jeffrey (Roberta) Dixon of Clayton, Kimberly (Alan) Kovacik of Fairbanks, Alaska, Angela (Erv) Faulk of Plainfield, Rhonda Irvine of Plainfield, Laura Tharp of Avon, 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and sisters, Judy (Bill) Clatfelter of Noblesville, and Sondra Reeves of Lynchburg, VA.
