Robert S. Peters

A time of gathering and sharing will take place at "The Fort Harrison Inn, located at 5830 N. Post Road, Indianapolis, 3:00 pm Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019.

Robert passed away at his home on Tuesday morning. He was born in Indianapolis to the late James S. and Shirley F. (Nelson) Peters. Robert was a 1968 graduate of Franklin Central High School. He furthered his education in woodworking skills, becoming a master carpenter. Robert served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. As a former mason, he enjoyed his involvement in the masonic lodge for many years. For the past 30+ years, (currently) Robert has been the maintenance supervisor at Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.

Survivors include his daughter, Robin (Mark) Keller of Gilbert, Arizona, grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, and Hannah Keller, sisters, Sharon (Robert) Kidwell of Danville, and Carol (Terry) Marsh of Cumming, Georgia. Robert was preceded in death by a son, Robert C. Peters.
