Richard E. "Dick" Lambert

February 3, 1931 — June 13, 2022

Dick, 91, of Danville, passed away this past Monday in the Greenwood, IN. home of his son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Shelley who had been lovingly taking care of him. Visitation will take place at the BROWNSBURG CHURCH OF CHRIST, located at 3300 HORNADAY ROAD, in Brownsburg from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm FRIDAY, June 17, 2022 with the service also in the church at 10:00 am SATURDAY, June 18, 2022. Burial will follow in the Clayton, IN. Cemetery where Dick will be laid to rest next to his late wife, "Jeanne".

Dick was born in Clayton, Indiana to the late Ernest E. "Whistle" and Mary Ellen (Williams) Lambert. He graduated from Clayton High School in 1949 and later received an Associate Degree in Business Management from the Indianapolis Business College in 1950. In 1951, Dick enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving his country during the Korean War. He met Olive Jeanne Bissonnette while overseas, eventually marrying, and remained so until her passing July 12, 1997. Dick had been the office and show room manager for Shaw Walker Company in Indianapolis for 35 years prior to retiring. Dick served his Lord and his community. He was a member of the Brownsburg Church of Christ, a former chief of police for the Town of Danville, and served on the board of directors for the Clayton Cemetery Association. Dick enjoyed antique farm tractors and machinery. That enjoyment was displayed by his membership in the Hendricks County Antique Tractor and Machinery Association for 40 years.

Survivors include his son, Richard H. "Rick" (Shelley) Lambert of Greenwood, grandchildren, Sarah (Justin) Foster of Hilton Head, SC., Chad (Tasha) Lambert of Spring Hill, TN., and great grandchildren, Ethan, Brayden, and Tyler Foster.

The family has asked that contributions be given to the church (see address above) and/or the Hendricks County Antique Tractor and Machinery Association (HCATMA), P.O. Box 51, Danville, IN. 46122. However, those wishing to send flowers, please have them delivered to the church.
