Reta Von Long

Funeral service for RETA VON LONG, 76, will be held at 2:00 pm Mon., Nov. 26, 2018 at WEAVER & RANDOLPH FUNERAL HOME CLAYTON, with visitation there from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place in Clayton Cemetery.

Reta was born in Hinton, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Bill and Hilda (Thiessen) Matlage. She was a graduate of Hinton (Oklahoma) High School. Reta married Larry Long on Dec. 31, 1982. She had been an executive secretary for the State of Oklahoma Veteran Affairs for 21 years. She later was Vice-President of Heritage Environmental Services in Indianapolis for 20 years, prior to her retirement.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Larry, daughters, Janelle (Marty) Eckert and Kristen Runyan all of Danville, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Reta was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Findley.
