Phillip, 85, of Mooresville, IN passed away at his home, Wednesday morning with his loving family by his
side. Funeral services with a celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the
First United Methodist Church, 900 Indianapolis Road, Mooresville, IN. The family will receive friends
from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow in Clayton Cemetery.
Phillip was born in Seymour, IN to the late Harley E. Wilson and Beulah (Perry) Wilson. He graduated
from Clayton High School with the class of 1955. After graduation, he worked at PSI, Public Service
Indiana, where he’d later meet and marry his best friend, Wanda Storm. Phillip enlisted in the Indiana
National Guard, farmed his land since 1976, restored various vehicles (cars, trucks, and tractors), and
also enjoyed restoring hit-and-miss engines. Phillip was very involved with his children’s school and
sports, by belonging to the school board and coaching each of his kids in various sports, (softball,
baseball, and basketball.) He was very active in the Henderson group and Methodist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Wanda (Storm) Wilson; children, Kara (Joe) Collins of
Sarasota, FL, Lori (Dominick) Forsdick of Mooresville, and Mark (Lizette) Wilson of Tucson, AZ;
grandchildren, Sara Smith, Patrick Collins, Kyle Forsdick, Dylan Forsdick, Brooke Wilson, Taylor Wilson,
Luis Wilson, and Monique Wilson; great-grandchildren, MaKayla Forsdick, Wyatt Forsdick, Jackson Smith
and Genevieve Smith; brothers, Perry Wilson of Bradenton, FL, and Dave Wilson of Gaithersburg, MD.
In addition to his parents, Phillip is preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald Wilson, Derwood Wilson
and Van Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered in his memory to the First United Methodist Church.
