Pauline (Wheeler) Downing

Funeral services for PAULINE DOWNING, will be held at 11:00 am Fri., Sept. 21, 2018 at WEAVER & RANDOLPH FUNERAL HOME DANVILLE, with visitation there, 4-8 pm Thurs., Sept. 20, 2018. Burial will follow in Danville South Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Clyde.

Pauline was born in Clinton, In., the daughter of Fitzhugh and Stella Wheeler. She married Clyde H. Downing Dec. 11, 1946, he preceded her in death Nov. 3, 2004. She was a cashier at Standard Foods and Safeway Grocery Stores in Plainfield for 35 years. Pauline was a member of the Danville United Methodist Church, and a volunteer and member of the Hendricks County Senior Services and Hendricks Regional Health.
Survivors include her children, Debra Sue Coffman and Anna Collings, both of Danville, Denise Byers of Plainfield, Larry Downing of Danville, David Downing of Pasadena, MD., 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
Pauline was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Komlanc, and a son, Richard Downing.
