Funeral services for PAUL KERSEY, 92, will be held at 1:00 pm Sat., May 5, 2018 at WEST BRIDGE CHURCH in Danville, of which he had been an active member for many years. Visitation will also be at the church from 11:00 am until time of the service. Burial will take place in Danville South Cemetery next to his wife of 48 years, Cordelia "Dee" Kersey. West Bridge Church is located at 1521 S., Co. Road 75 W. (Mackey Road).
Paul was born in Indianapolis, a son of Charles F. and Marguerite R. (Beever) Kersey. He was a graduate of Clayton High School. Paul married Cordelia "Dee" Bloomer Oct. 15, 1948, she preceded him in death July 11, 1996. He later married Thelma Porter Feb. 21, 1998, she also preceded him in death June 20, 2017. Paul was a life time resident of Hendricks County. He had been employed in the building and grounds maintenance department for Public Service Indiana for 33 years prior to his retirement in 1983. Paul served his country in U.S. Navy during WWII. He enjoyed being a member of the "Black Sheep Squadron" radio control airplane club.
Survivors include his children,Sharon (Michael) Wilkening, Rebecca (Harold) Brown, and Steven (Susan) Kersey, all of Danville. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by a great grandchild.
