Pamela Sue Nelson

Pamela Sue Nelson, 74 of Lizton, IN passed away peacefully at home the morning of Sunday, April 21, 2024.  She was born in Indianapolis, IN on July 3, 1949 and was the daughter of the late Everett and Evelyn (Lieske) Sheffer.

Pam graduated from Petersburg High School in Petersburg, VA.  Her family moved back to Indiana where her mother’s family owned Lieske Hardware on the west side of Indianapolis for many years. Pam was a hard worker and the owner of Magic Maid & Janitorial Services on the west side of Indianapolis.  With her husband, Jack Nelson, she was the co-owner of Nelson’s Christmas Tree Farm, where they were blessed to be a part of the tradition for so many families for 30 years.  She was very involved with the Tree’s for Troops, which offered Christmas trees to military bases and on military ships, and was a member and later Chairman of the Lizton Lions Club.  Pam was a very giving and generous person, and made friends wherever she went.

Pam is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Jack Nelson, son, Christopher Proctor of Speedway, daughter, Jennifer Kaplan of Indianapolis, and her son, Peter Nelson of Dayton, TN; grandchildren, Sarah and Aubry Proctor, Sophia, Jack and Henry Kaplan, Ethan and Alena Nelson.
