A memorial service for NORMAN K. "NORM" MALONE will be held at 2:00 pm Mon., Dec. 5 in ST. AUGUSTINE EPISCOPAL CHURCH, located at 600 N. Washington St., Danville, In. with visitation there 2-6 pm Sun., Dec. 4.Burial of his cremains will take place in St. Augustine Memorial Gardens at a later time. In lieu of flowers, contribution may be given to the church elevator fund in Norm's memory.
Norm was born in Dana, In. the son of Roy and Florence (Roberts) Malone. He married Patricia Kellogg in 1955, she preceded him in death in 1995. Norm was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He also served as a "state trooper" with the Indiana Highway Patrol for 20 years, retiring in 1975. In 1996, Norm retired again after working in the traffic division of INDOT for 20 years. He was an active member of St. Augustine Episcopal Church, served on the Danville Public Library board, was a member of PTABOA with the Hendricks Co. Assessor Office, involved with the Hendricks Co. Historical Society, and provided transportation for senior citizens. Norm enjoyed his morning coffee time with the "Gang" at Hardees', and researching geneology and various cultures including Southwest Native Americans.
Survivors include his daughters, Shawn (Patrick) Shelley - Avon, Marla Martinsen - Las Vegas, grandchildren, Clint (Carrie) Bolen Andrea (Blaze) Nausadis, and great grandchildren, Emma, Hanna, Olivia, Bella, and Devan.
