Nancy, 79, of Bainbridge, formerly of Danville, passed away early Wednesday morning at home with her family at her bedside. She was born in Indianapolis to the late Owen and Margaret (Etheridge) Jones. Nancy married Paul S. Barnett March 22, 1959 in Plainfield. She graduated from Decatur Central High School (Go Hawks) with the class of 1959.
Nancy had been the office manager and veterinary assistant at the Avon (IN.) Veterinary Clinic for 20 years, as well as being the cafeteria manager at Hendricks Regional Health Hospital in Danville for 10 years. Nancy lived her christian faith, being very active in the Bainbridge United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, serving as West District President, and serving as a volunteer and Board Treasurer of Hope's Way.
Survivors include her husband, Paul, of 61 years, children, Peggy (Fred) Dudley of Heltonville, IN., Paul (Linda) Barnett, Jr., of Zullinger, PA., Thomas (Carol) Barnett, of Danville, grandchildren, Marcus, Adam, Aaron, & Amy Collins, Victoria, Brooke, & Grant Barnett, great grandchildren, Olive Barnett, Jillian, Bronson, & Cassius Collins, brother, Charles (Donna) Jones of Martinsville, sister-in-law, Dee Jones of Greenwood, and nieces and nephews. Nancy was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Jones.
The family has asked that contributions may be given to St. Judes Hospital for Children in memory of Nancy. Eventhough her visitation and services will be private due to the COVID-19 Virus situation on Saturday, May 9, 2020, at WEAVER & RANDOLPH FUNERAL HOME DANVILLE, Nancy had asked that her family dress in colorful attire symbolizing the beauty of life, of which she enjoyed and shared.
