Mary Amelia Rodney

Funeral services for MARY AMELIA (DILBONE) RODNEY will be held at 2:30 pm Wed., Dec. 12, 2018 at WEAVER & RANDOLPH FUNERAL HOME DANVILLE with visitation from 12:30 pm until the time of service. Burial will follow in Danville South Cemetery.

Mary was born in Indianapolis to Gerald and Leone (Moody) Dilbone. She graduated from Manuel High School in Indianapolis with the class of 1951. Mary married Leon Rodney in Indianapolis on July 23, 1955. She had been in charge of the Human Resources Department at Indiana Lumbersman Mutual Insurance Company in Indianapolis for 36 years; retiring in 1996. She was a long time active member of the Danville Christian Church. Mary was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, enjoying gardening, crocheting, reading, and listening to the music of Elvis Presley.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Leon, her daughters, Denese (Steve) Clark of Danville, Marcia Alexander of Danville, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a sister, Ida (Dallas) Magee of of Indianapolis. Mary's 2 brothers preceded her in death.

Contributions may be made to the Danville Christian Church and or/ the St. Judes Childrens Hospital. Our funeral home will have envelopes  for any donations available.
