Marilyn Kaye (Carter) Wade

March 7, 1940 — February 6, 2022

Marilyn, 81, of Danville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior this past Sunday with her family by her side. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM Friday, February 11, 2022 at WEST BRIDGE CHURCH, located at 1521 S. Co. Road 75 W. (Mackey Road) in Danville. Marilyn will be returned home to Cutler, Indiana with a graveside service at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 12, 2022 where she will be laid to rest in Ball Hill Cemetery. The family has asked that masks be worn at all gatherings and services.

Marilyn was born in Cutler, Indiana to the late M. Cleon and Leona (Bowen) Carter. She and her (13) thirteen siblings grew up on the Carter Farm near Cutler. Marilyn graduated from Cutler High School with the class of 1958. Marilyn married Robert E. "Bob" Wade July 15, 1962 in the former Ball Hill Methodist Church, located near the family farm. She had been a data entry programmer for Allison Gas Turbine Engines in Indianapolis for 18 years, retiring in 1992. Marilyn enjoyed attending West Bridge Church for many years. Her greatest joys in life was time spent with her children, grandchildren, family, and close friends. Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Bob, sons, Kerry (Shannon) Wade of Indianapolis, Randy (Janette) Wade of Avon, Toby Wade of St. Charles, MO., 2 precious twin grandchildren Michael and Adriana, brothers and sisters, Meredith (Nellie) Carter of Carmel, Martha Grant of Warsaw, IN., Myra Roydhouse of Dade City, FL., Myron (Marilyn) Carter of Orlando, FL., Madonna Patrick of Plainfield, James (Judy) Carter of Estero, FL., Janet Kniesly of Largo, FL., JoAnn (Michael) Oglageo of Deltona, FL., Jill (Scott) Aydelotte of Apopka, FL., Jon (Francine) Carter of Danville, and Jeffery (Kathy) Carter of Burlington, IN. Marilyn is also survived by her sister-in-law, Wanda Carter of Cutler, IN.;  many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her brothers, Max and Jerry Carter, brothers-in-law, Rex Grant, Ken Roydhouse, Dwight Patrick, and William Kniesly.

The family has asked that contributions be given to the West Bridge Church in memory of Marilyn. Those that wish to send floral arrangements, please have the florist of your choice deliver them directly to the church.
