Marcia L. Leitzman

Marcia, 83, of Clayton, (Belleville), passed away at her home Friday afternoon with her family by her side. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tues., Feb. 9, 2021 at HAZELWOOD CHRISTIAN CHURCH with visitation there from 12:00 Noon until time of service. Burial will follow in Clayton Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband of 42 years, Thane. The wearing of masks and social distancing will be observed both at the church, and at the cemetery.

Marcia was born in Matteson, Illinois to the late John and Florence (Pieper) Stege. She was a graduate of Leon High School in Tallahassee, FL. Marcia married Thane W. Leitzman Feb. 5, 1960 in Georgia, he preceded her in death May 23, 2002. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and enjoyed being the homemaker for her family. Marcia was active in the ministry of the Hazelwood Christian Church, and has asked that contributions be given to the church in her memory to continue these ministries.

Survivors include her children, John Sewell "Scooter" (Kim) Leitzman of Clayton, Kristin Ellen Andrews of Plainfield, granddaughter, Bridget Elleen Andrews, step-grandchildren, Hannah, Levi, John, and Luke Hammett, brother, John Stege of MS., sisters, Marilyn Mason of Newnan, GA., and Karen Glass of FL.
