Mabel Joan Clark

Mabel Joan Clark, 90, of Danville, IN. passed away on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 at Brownsburg Meadows.  She was born in Fithian, IL on June 15, 1933, and was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Mary (Brown) Stambaugh.  She grew up in North Salem and was a graduate of North Salem High School.

After high school, she met and married Paul Clark, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker to their two sons, Stephen and Michael, then worked as a Qualified Medication Aide at Danville Rehab (formerly MEDCO) until her retirement in 1995. She enjoyed sewing and crafts.

Mabel is survived by her sons; Stephen (Denese) Clark of Danville, IN, and Michael (Mari) Clark of New Winchester, IN; grandchildren, Travis Clark, Lindsey (Jason) Agan, Brandi (Jon) Bishop, and Bambi (Bill) Shrewsbury; great-grandchildren, Makayla (Paul) Melvin, Maggie Catellier, Madison and Olivia Agan, Mike, Matthew, and Joe Bishop, MacKenzie (Jason) Hammond, and Jacob Shrewsbury; 5 great-great-grandchildren; also surviving is her brother, Robert (Betty) Stambaugh of Colfax, IN. In addition to her parents and Paul, she is preceded in death by 5 siblings; Margaret Keller, Willie Shaw, Deanie Sheets, Kathryn Dozier, and Josephine Ritter.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 16th, 2023 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm at Helton & Harris Funeral Home, Danville. A graveside service will follow at Danville South Cemetery.
