Louise Scudder Hoffman

A memorial service for LOUISE will be held 2:00 pm Sat., Feb. 16, 2019 at BARTLETT CHAPEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, located at 4396 E. Main Street, Avon. A private scattering of her cremains will take place at a later date.

Louise was born in Hendricks County to the late Howard and Gail (Stout) Gibbs. She was a 1952 graduate of Avon High School. Louise married Wendell Scudder in 1958, he preceded her in death 1991. She later married the Honorable Judge George B. Hoffman, Jr. in 1997, he preceded her in death 2009. Louise had been a legal secretary for the Howard and Lawson Law Firm in Danville for 10 years, and later for the State of Indiana Court of Appeals for 20 years. Louise was a very active member of Bartlett Chapel United Methodist Church, and the former O.E.S. Chapter at Cartersburg.

Survivors include her children, Vicki (Larry) Nees of W. Lafayette, IN., Marta Himsel of Avon, Craig (Kim) Scudder of Cocoa, FL., 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a sister, Nancy Thompson of Brownsburg, and a brother, John (Lydia) Gibbs of Avon.

Contributions may be given to Bartlett Chapel United Methodist Church in memory of Louise.
