Leon Hamilton

Leon Thomas Hamilton, 59, of Plainfield, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

He was born in Franklin, IN on June 15, 1963, and was a son of the late Herman Grover and Mattie (Brown)

Hamilton. Leon worked for many years in construction and paving. He loved nature and being

outdoors. He enjoyed just sitting and watching the deer, or feeding the squirrels, but there was

nowhere he’d rather be than fishing. Leon had a great personality and liked to make people laugh.

He is survived by 3 children, David Hamilton, Kimberly Cagle, and Kimber Stacey;

grandchildren, Karter Wayne Hamilton, Michelle Hamilton, and Keyana Hamilton. He will be deeply

missed by his sisters, Carol (Bernard) Eck of Danville, Margie Monroe of Martinsville;

brothers, Jeff Hamilton of Greenwood, and Mike Hamilton of Indianapolis.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, from 11:30am until the time of service at 12:30pm

at Helton & Harris Funeral Home, Danville, IN 102 S. Indiana St., Danville, IN 46122. Leon will be
