Lena Collins

Lena Collins, 84, of Clayton, Indiana, formerly of Letcher County, Kentucky passed April 3, 2017. Services will be held at the Letcher Funeral Home in
Whitesburg, Kentucky, with burial in Dixon Cemetery at Carcassone, Kentucky.

Survivors include her daughter, Helen Wood of Clayton, IN., son Randall Collins of Danville, IN. 4 grandchildren, Jason Collins of Plainfield, IN., Craig Bean of Avon, IN, Chandra Bean of Clayton, IN., Cassandra Martin of Danville, IN., 8 great grandchildren, and 4 sisters. Lena was preceded in death by a son, Richard Collins, a grandson, Christopher Bean, 1 great grandchild, and 3 brothers and a sister.

Lena was born July 4, 1932 in Letcher County to Brian and Della (Griffey) Back. Lena married Reginald Collins, he preceded her in death in 2001. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Blackey, Kentucky.
