Larry Joe Battershell

Larry, 71, of Avon, passed away Saturday evening in Majestic Care of Avon. There will be a "celebration of Larry's Life"  at a later date. Per his request, a cremation will take place prior to the services.

Larry was born in Palestine, Illinois to the late Robert Overton and Helen Jean (Schuch) Battershell. He graduated from Robinson, IL. High School with the class of 1968. Larry furthered his education by receiving a BS Degree from the University of Illinois in Education in 1972. He later received his Doctorate Degree of Jurisprudence from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1975.

Larry moved from Robinson, IL. in 1982 to Indianapolis.  He became a Business Broker with Indiana Business  Advisors from 1988, until he retired in 2018. Larry had the ability to help owners sell their business's as requested.

He was a local "sports fan". Larry enjoyed supporting the Indianapolis Colts, Pacers, and the Butler University Bulldogs. He so enjoyed being in Turn One of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on "Race Day".

Larry enjoyed traveling with his sons, Issac and Carson, to countries and regions that most of us will never have the opportunity to enjoy. They traveled to Great Britain, France, China, Peru, Japan, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Nepal, and India.

Survivors include his children, Isaac Battershell of Brownsburg, Carson (Tiffany) Battershell of Land O Lakes, FL., grandchildren, Colin and Juliette Battershell, all of Land O Lakes, FL., brother, Richard L. "Ric" (Marcia) Battershell, of Danville.

Funeral arrangements have have been entrusted to WEAVER & RANDOLPH FUNERAL HOME DANVILLE.
