Keith King

June 16, 1949 — November 2, 2024

Coatesville

Keith King, 75 of Coatesville, passed away, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, November 2, 2024. He was born in Indianapolis on June 16, 1949, and was the son of the late Ivan and Virginia (Stevens) King. In addition to his parents, Keith is predeceased by loving grandparents, Earl and Flossie (Detamore) Stevens, Ollie and Nova (Sinclair) King; brothers, Dennis and Kenneth King; daughter, Karri King; son, Kurt King; sister-in-law, Loretta (Dillow) King.

Keith graduated from Ben Davis High School, then joined the Carpenters Union. He worked for FA WILHELM as superintendent for many years before his retirement. Later in life, Keith met his best friend, Patti. After dating for 3 years, they were married and blended their loving families. He loved Patti with his whole heart. Together they enjoyed camping, boating and fishing. He loved to laugh and tell stories around the campfire, have a grandchild on his lap driving the boat and fishing with his grandson, Hudson. His daughter Tiffany will always remember feeding the raccoons while boating and camping at Raccoon Lake.

There’s a saying that goes, “You never know when you’re making a memory.” Keith may not have known the powerful memories he was creating, by just being himself- kind, generous and a fun-loving guy, however, he has left many lasting and beautiful memories in his wake. His niece, Amanda, will never forget the time her uncle Keith saved a calf after its mother died, they named the calf Sugarfoot. He was always there to lend an ear and share advice while swinging on the porch swing having a beer. Keith was always there to lend a hand or an encouraging word. He was very knowledgeable and mechanically inclined.  His niece, Danielle, appreciated Keith coming to look at the home she was going to buy, to make sure everything was sound, he was always a trusted resource. He will always be remembered as being smart, funny, hardworking, adventurous, empathetic and trustworthy, a true gentleman. Keith has been so much to so many, it’s hard to put into words all the ways he has shown friendship and love. He will be forever dearly missed and remembered.

Keith is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Patti (Treece) King; children, Kraig King, Tiffany Warf (Cody Butcher); 9 grandchildren; brothers, Roger (Judy) King, Stewart (Brenda) King, Brian (Amanda) King, Duane King; sister, Kimberly (Ken) Healy. Also missing Keith are several nieces and nephews and extended family members.
