Joyce Colleen (Jarrett) Thompson

Joyce, 81, of Avon, formerly of Danville, passed Wednesday morning at Avon Healthcare. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Danville South Cemetery. Friends may attend with "Social Distancing" required.

Joyce was born in Indianapolis to the late William Roy and Lucille (Corder) Jarrett. She graduated from Fillmore (IN.) High School with the class of 1956. Although Joyce held many jobs in her life-time, including the Target Warehouse in Indianapolis, she is best known for being a wonderful homemaker, loving mom, grandma, sister, and aunt. Joyce was also a member of the New Augusta (IN.) Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her children, Kelly Morgan of Atlanta, GA., Bonnie Jellison of Milltown, IN., Glynnis Hinderer of Enumclaw, WA., Shannon Porter of Danville, Maureen Stout of Indianapolis, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Jarrett of Spencer, IN., and sister, Sharon Jean LeGeare of Danville. Joyce was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Pauline Jarrett, Ruby Butler, and two brothers, Carl "Bud" Jarrett, and Ted Jarrett. Joyce's family has asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions be given to Sheltering Wings, 1251 Sycamore Lane, Danville, IN. 46122 in memory of Joyce.
