John David Lilley

John David, 66, formerly of Danville, passed away early Thursday morning in St. Francis Hospital at Beech Grove. He was born in Illinois to the late John W. and Barbara (Whitaker) Lilley, Jr. John David graduated from Danville Community High School with the class of 1974. He married Sarah Jane Hawley April 3, 1976, she preceded him in death August 10, 2018. John David served his country in the U.S. Army. After returning from service, he worked as a security guard for U.S. Security Associates in Indianapolis.

A memorial service for John David will be held at a later date. His cremains will be inurned in a niche at Danville South Cemetery.

Survivors include his son, Evan Lilley - Fargo, ND., brothers, John W. (Beth) Lilley III - Pendelton, IN., Ray (Kelly) Whitaker, Sr. - Danville, Randy (Ellen) Whitaker - Danville, Ralph A. (Chris) Whitaker - North Salem, sisters, Rachel Collier (Willie Young), and Ranita "Peach" (Jay) Clark, all of Danville. brothers-in-law, Lawrence Hawley, Randy (Debbie) Hawley, Peter (Becky) Hawley, sister-in-law, Harriette Weaver, and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents and wife, John David was preceded in death by a sister, Paula Ruhl, sister-in-law, Jacqueline Zeimmer, and step-mother, Avis O. Lilley.
