Joe McGhee

Funeral services for JOE McGHEE, 80, of Danville, will be held at 10 am Sat., Nov. 11, 2017 at NEW WINCHESTER CHRISTIAN CHURCH. Burial will follow in the Dugger,IN. Cemetery with a 3 pm graveside service. Visitation 4-8 pm Fri., Nov. 10, 2017 at the church.

Joe was born in Sullivan County, IN. to Walter B. and Frankie A. (Koons) McGhee. He graduated from Union High School in 1954. Joe married Linda Smith on July 21, 1957. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Joe had been a lineman and most recently director of purchasing for REMC for 44 years prior to retiring in 2000. He was also with his son, Tracey, co-owner of Mule Barn Farms. Joe was an active member and elder at New Winchester Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Linda, children, Carrie McGhee Gibson of Plainfield, Tracey (Jennifer) McGhee of North Salem, Sharla Gardner of Marshall. IL., 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
