Jeffrey M. "Jeff" Hershberger

Jeff, 54, of Avon, passed way Sunday afternoon in Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Friday, September 3, 2021 in BARTLETT CHAPEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH located at 4396 E. Main St., Avon, IN. Burial will follow in the K. of P. Cemetery at Lizton, IN. Visitation will also take place in the church Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm.

Jeff was born in Trenton, NJ. the adopted son of the late Edwin Hershberger, and Eunice (Stayrook) Hershberger of Danville. He was a graduate of Danville High School with the class of 1986. Jeff enjoyed athletics, participating in both varsity football and basketball. He received an associates degree in aero mechanics from Vincennes  University in 1988. Jeff, later married his sweetheart, Julie McClain May 6, 1989. He worked as an airplane mechanic for Rhoades Aviation in Columbus, IN., and later for Eastern Airlines in Atlanta, GA. Jeff was a member of Bartlett Chapel United Methodist Church in Avon, and had been active in the Boy Scouts of America.

Survivors along with his mother, Eunice, include his loving and devoted wife of 32 years, Julie, children, Jordan Hershberger of Avon, Adriana Hershberger of Grundy, VA., grandson, Zane Hershberger, sister, Diana Hershberger of North Carolina, brothers, Tom Hershberger of Danville, and Dennis (Dawn) Hershberger of Indianapolis.

Contributions may be given to Bartlett Chapel in memory of Jeff.
