James "Jim" H. Summers

A memorial service for JAMES "JIM" H. SUMMERS, 85, of Avon, will be held at 2:00 pm Tues., Nov. 29, 2016 at the DANVILLE CHRISTIAN CHURCH with visitation there from 12:00 Noon until time of service. A cremation will follow.

Jim was born in Indianapolis to Harry W. and Martha W. (Obenchain) Summers. He graduated from Bainbridge High School. Jim married Mary Love Clodfelter of Greencastle in 1950, he then married Darlene Sue (Wallace) Sisk in 1976. Jim was the director of operations for the Danville Community School Corp. bus transportation from 1975-1996. He was a member of the Danville Christian Church, the Danville Masonic Lodge #26, past master of the Bainbridge Masonic Lodge #75, the Scottish Rite, Indianapolis Valley, and the Murat Shrine.
Survivors include his wife, Sue, former wife, Mary, children, Deborah (Brian) Treadway - Colorado, Douglas (Kathleen) Summers - California, Jerretta (Chuck) Gilman - Florida, Jennifer Richard - Danville, Douglas (Wendy) Sisk - Danville, Lora (Jeff) Lockwood - Iowa, Angela (Kevin) Norman - Ohio, Jeffrey (Karen) Summers - Danville, 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a brother, David Summers - Lebanon, and a sister, Marcia Zimmerman - Bainbrudge.

Contributions maybe given to the Danville Christian Church or to one's favorite charity in memory of Jim. WEAVER & RANDOLPH FUNERAL HOME DANVILLE entrusted with the arrangements.
