James E. "Jim" Loughmiller

Funeral services for "Jim" Loughmiller, 74, will be held at 10:30 am Sat., June 9, 2018 at DANVILLE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, located at 820 W. Mill St., with visitation there 4-8 pm Fri., June 8, 2018. Burial will take place in Bee Ridge Cemetery at Brazil, IN.

"Jim" was born in Brazil, IN., a son of John William and Helen Marie (Kessel) Loughmiller. He graduated from Brazil High School in 1961 and attended Purdue University for 2 years. "Jim" married Vicki Garrigus July 9, 1965. A resident of Danville since 1964, he had been plant food manager for the former Hendricks County CO-OP, currently CO-Alliance for 30 years, retiring in 2000. "Jim" was very active in his community. He was a member of the Danville United Methodist Church, the Masonic Western Star Lodge #26 F&AM, Scottish Rite - Indianapolis Valley, Brazil, IN. O.E.S. Chapter #80, Past Associate Bethel Guardian #105 Danville Job's Daughters, Past President of Danville Optimist Club (1973-1974), Past President of Hendricks County Farm Bureau, and served as Chairman and member of the Hendricks County Soil and Water Conservation for 20+ years.

Survivors include his wife of almost 53 years, Vicki, daughter, Elizabeth (David) Szentes of Greenwood, grandchildren, Abigail and Samuel, brothers, Don (Chris) Loughmiller and Dale (Jane) Loughmiller, all of Brazil, IN.
Contributions may be given to the Danville United Methodist Church and or one's favorite charity.
