Jack A Glunt

May 18, 1946 — December 29, 2017

71, of Coatesville (Heritage Lake), passed away at his home, December 29, 2017. A Memorial service with military honors will be held 1:00 pm Sat., Feb. 24, 2018 at the Brownsburg, IN. American Legion Post #331, located at 636 E. Main St. There will be a time of fellowship and sharing following the service.

Jack was born May 18, 1946 in Indianapolis, a son of Warren Albert and Eulalie (Wright) Glunt. He was a graduate of Pike High School and furthered his education at Indiana University. While at Indiana University Jack was a member of the "Marching 100". He had been employed at AT&T as a field engineer for 36 years retiring in 2000. He was a member of the American Legion Post #500 in Speedway, Indiana, the Telephone Pioneers of America, and the American Contract Bridge League. Jack served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  He received the national defense medal, the Vietnam campaign medal, and the Vietnam service medal with 3 bronze stars. Survivors include, his wife of 51 years, Lynn K. (Majors) Glunt, 2 sons, David (Paige) Glunt of Seminole, FL., Jeffrey (Lara) Glunt of Chicago, IL., and a daughter Jennifer Glunt of Indianapolis, IN., 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild, a brother Richard Glunt of Myrtle Beach, SC. he was preceded in death by a brother Charles Glunt. Contributions may be given to the American Lung Association in memory of Jack
