Gordon E. McIntyre

Funeral services for GORDON E. McINTYRE, 78, a life resident of Danville, will be held at 10 am Wed., Apr. 12, at WESTBRIDGE CHURCH in Danville where he attended. Visitation will be at the church 4-8 pm Tues., Apr. 11. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery at North Salem, In.

Gordon was the son of Harlie R. and Phairis L. (Barrow) McIntyre. He graduated from New Winchester High School and attended both Butler and Ball State Universities. He married his wife of 57 years, Anna L. Gossett in 1960 at North Salem. Gordon retired in 2001 from the Indiana State Board of Tax Commissioners after 39 years of service in various capacities. He also had worked part time in the Hendricks County Assessor's Office. Gordon was a member of the "Bear Down" euchre club, the Hendricks County Museum, and enjoyed board games, golf, and watching college basketball games. Survivors, whom he loved and enjoyed very much, include his wife, Anna, children, Patrick "Shawn" (Marilyn) McIntyre - Plainfield, Melinda "Erin" (John) Hughes - Danville, grandchildren, Joshua Jones, Ethan and Andrew McIntyre, Jacquelyn Fry, and sister, Phyllis Stewart - Brookston, In. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alleen Gregory, and Virginia Cassity.
