Glyndon Eugene Hitchcock

Glyndon Eugene Hitchcock, 75, of Danville, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.  Visitation will take place at WEAVER & RANDOLPH FUNERAL HOME DANVILLE from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 13, 2022, a service will follow at 2:00 pm.  Burial in Fairview Cemetery, North Salem.

Eugene was born February 4, 1947 in Lebanon, IN to the late Glyndon and Lois (Pritchett) Hitchcock.  He graduated from Danville High School with the class of 1965.  He married his high school sweetheart, Kathy Gossett, June 16, 1968.  Eugene earned his B.S. in Engineering and Technology from Purdue University in 1969.  He worked 12 years for Link Belt Bearing before going to work for, and later retiring from, CMW Inc. after 27 years. Eugene was also a farmer of corn and soybeans, he enjoyed snow skiing, bowling and spending time with his family.

Survivors include, his best friend of 54 years, Kathy (Gossett) Hitchcock, daughter, Suzanne M. Hitchcock of Indianapolis, sister, Marjorie M. Hitchcock of Danville, brother-in-law, Jim (Marcia) Gossett of Marshalltown, IA, sisters’-in-law, Karen (Jerry) Tarsan of Brownsburg, IN Sally (Don) Knight of Nashville, IN. Eugene also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
