Gloria L. Terrill

August 28, 1923 — May 4, 2020

Gloria,96, passed away early Monday morning. She was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late William and Marie (Peterson) Parks. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Paul M. Terrill in 2014. Gloria will be laid to rest next to her husband in a private graveside ceremony at Fairfield Friends Cemetery on Thursday, May 7, 2020 with Phil Gulley officiating.

Survivors include her children, Christine (John) Gauder of Madison, WI., Rosalyn (Dwight) Ladd of Coatesville, Daniel Terrill of Coatesville, Miriam (Ned) Malone of Newberry, IN., Bonnie (David) Ross of Indianapolis, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sister, Betty (David) Eubank of Lees Summit, MO., a brother-in-law, Winston Terrill of Lebanon, and nieces and nephews.

Gloria's passions in life were her family and the world of nature. She instilled in her children and grandchildren the love of nature and of the environment. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, story telling, genealogy, history, reading, Native American arts and travel. Gloria had been an administrative assistant in the guidance department at the Danville Community Schools for several years. She was a member of the Friends Meeting, Browning Club, Beta Chapter of Tri Kappa, Hendricks County Garden Club, Order of the Eastern Star, National Society-Daughters of the Union, and was an accredited Master Judge of the National Council of Horticulture.

Gloria, being known for her kindness and friendship, will be missed and remembered by those lives she touched. Contributions may be given to the Danville Public Library in her memory.
