Funeral services for GLENN "SMOKY" KENWORTHY, 70, of Belleville will be held at 2 pm Tues., Mar. 7, at WEAVER & RANDOLPH FUNERAL HOME CLAYTON with visitation from 12 noon until time of service. Burial will follow in the Clayton Cemetery.
Junior was born in Greencastle to the late Glenn and Garnet (Riggle) Kenworthy, Sr. At an early age, Junior was stricken with cerebral palsy. With his family dedicated to his recovery, he was treated by the best doctors at both Reilly Hospital and the Mayo Clinic. A smoker from his teen years. he was affectionately called "Smoky" by those that knew him best. In spite of his physical limitations, Junior traveled extensively throughout the United States with Kenworthy Trucking and Grain businesses. Junior was an ardent supporter of law enforcement officers, and had served on the Clayton Town Board. He had been a member of both the Cloverdale Masonic Lodge #132 F&AM, and at Terre Haute. Junior will be rembered as a man who overcame pain and handicap to enjoy a full life.
Survivors include his brother, Jerry W. (Judy A.) Kenworthy - Belleville, grand nieces, Heather Moore, Shandi Brown, great grand nephew, Jackson Moore, and several cousins.
