Garry Wayne McGillem

Memorial services for GARRY WAYNE McGILLEM, 62, of Plainfield will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, June 9, 2018 at HARMONY BAPTIST CHURCH in Avon, with visitation there from 10:00 am until the time of service. A scattering of his cremains will take place in Yellowwwod State Forest at a later date.

Garry was born in Indianapolis, a son of Dessel and Betty (Wilhite) McGillem. He graduated from Decatur Central High School. Garry was currently employed as a truck driver for FedEx for the past 23 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Gayle (Stark) McGillem, children, Michele Fipps - Council Bluff, IA., Diana Jo McGillem - Independence, MO., Laura (Brian) Finley - Brownsburg, Jennifer (Matthew) McGrath - Danville, Sara (John) Walker - Lafayette, IN., William Michael (Rachel) Modglin - Brazil, IN., 23 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a brother, Tom McGillem - Tampa, FL., and 3 sisters, Barbara Brummett - Bloomington, IN., Diane Young - Okeechobee, FL., and Debbie Richardson - Ellettsville, IN.
