Garnet E. Anderson

A funeral service for GARNET E. (PICKERING) ANDERSON, 72, of Danville, will be held 10:00 am Sat., Dec. 17 at NEW WINCHESTER (IN.) CHRISTIAN CHURCH, with visitation there 4-8 pm Fri., Dec. 16. Entombment will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.

Garnet was born Dec. 22, 1943 in Indianapolis to Basil and Mildred (Rose) Pickering. She was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School. Garnet married Jack J. Anderson May 1, 1965, he preceded her in death Jan. 16, 2009. She was a member of the New Winchester Christian Church and had been an administrative secretary for the Marion County Health Dept. for 25 years. Contributions may be given to Sheltering Wings in her memory.

Garnet is survived by her children, Brad (Misty) Anderson and Lisa Anderson of Danville, and grandsons, David Connelly and Dylan Stewart. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Pickering, and a sister, Patricia Spinks.
