Elsie M. McFarlin

Elsie, 86, passed away Wednesday evening at I.U. West Hospital in Avon. A private family visitation will take place at WEAVER & RANDOLPH FUNERAL HOME DANVILLE, followed by her interment in Danville South Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The use of masks and social distancing is requested.

Elsie was born in Indianapolis to the late Lemmie and Violet (Ferinbach) Chalfant. She married Roy McFarlin Dec. 13, 1958, he preceded her in death Apr. 30, 2000. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker. Elsie also worked as a waitress, and drove a bus for the Sycamore Center in Danville. She was a former member of Bartlett Chapel United Methodist Church in Avon.

Elsie is survived by her children, Wilhelmina Moors - Dayton, OH., Royanna Eck - Rushville, Verdeena Cardwell - Indianapolis, Paula Cline - Danville, Christina Himsel - Avon, Paul McFarlin - Danville, 12 grandchildren, several great and great great grandchilden, brothers, Dale and David Chalfant, both of Danville, Delancy Chalfant - Columbus, IN., Frank Chalfant - Coatesville, and sisters, Alice Wilson - Anderson, and Wilma Baum - Wanchese, NC. Elsie was preceded in death by a daughter, Dana Zickman.
