Edith L. Gies Caylor

Graveside services for EDITH L. GIES CAYLOR, 80, of Danville, will be held at 11am Sat., July 8, 2017 in New Winchester Cemetery with burial to follow. There will not be any visitation.

Edith was born in Kleinalbrechtau, Germany, a daughter of Kurt and Maria (Meissner) Schleif. She married Norbet Gies who has preceded her in death. Edith came to the United States Mar. 8, 2000. She was a saleswoman in retail sales. Edith married Edward J. "Red" Caylor, Sr. He survives along with her children, Martina, Frank, Norbert, and Michael Gies, all of Germany. She is also survived by a step-son, Edward J. (Diane) Caylor, Jr. of Danville, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a brother, Hans Schleif of Hamburg, Germany. She was also preceded in death by a step-son, Tim J. Caylor.
