Dwane George Armour

DWANE GEORGE ARMOUR, 82, of Hazelwood, Ind., lost his battle with cancer and Alzheimer’s disease on August 21, 2018.

He is survived by his wife, Cecilia (Cookie) Armour and children Jeff Broadstreet, Barry Armour, Keith Armour, Scott Armour, and Brook Rockefeller, as well as a brother, Dale Armour and a sister, Diane Hall.

He was preceded in death by Mike Broadstreet and parents George Noah Armour and Ina Duffle Armour.
Dwane attended Clayton High School, Class of 1955. He married Cookie on April 22, 1962 at the First Baptist Church in Clayton.

Dwane worked at General Motors Allison Transmission from 1961 until retiring in 1992, all while farming over 300 acres of land. He was a trustee, maintenance engineer, and sound technician at Monrovia Christian Church.

He enjoyed woodworking, camping and helping any family member or friend on any project.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, August 24, at the Hazelwood Christian Church, located south of Clayton at 9947 S. and Co. Road 0, with visitation there from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow, where he will be laid to rest at Clayton Cemetery.
