Doris Mae Archer

Funeral services for DORIS MAE ARCHER, 91, will be held at 11 am Wed., Mar. 15 at the Clayton Christian Church, of which she was a current member, with visitation there 4-8 pm Tues. Mar. 14. Entombment will follow at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.

Doris was born in Rosedale, In. to Samuel and Maude (Lambert) Boatman. She was a 1943 graduate of Rosedale High School. Doris married Ronald W. Archer Aug. 1, 1943, he preceded her in death Sept. 5, 20111 after 68 years of marriage. She had been a supervisor at Continental Life Insurance in Indianapolis for 20 years, retiring in 1984. Doris was a former member of the Fleming Garden Christian Church, and had been a member of the Tuesday Euchre Club since 1976. She found joy in caring for and loving her family and sharing her faith in God with others. Survivors include her children, JoAnne (Mike ) Kiefer, Marsha Dueker, all of Indianapolis, Jim (Beth) Archer of Danville, 11 great grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. Doris was also preceded in death by a great grandson, Trevor Tober.
