Don Keith Jeffries

Don, 77, of Roachdale, passed away early Monday morning at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday, Sept. 25, 2020 in New Maysville (IN.) Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest next to his first wife, Donna. Please wear a mask and observe social distancing.

Don was born in Putnam County, Indiana to the late Earl Wayne and Florence Ellen (Thomas) Jeffries. He grew up in Putnam County on the family farm, and graduated from Bainbridge High School with the class of 1960. Don married Donna Lee Barker Sept. 23, 1961, she preceded him in death Nov. 1, 2012. He married Kaye (Harlan) Raikes July 10, 2016.

Don was a "100%" farmer and horseman. The "Rafter J" was his brand, hard work and integrity bore his name. He enjoyed being on the farm and his quarter horses. Don was a member of the AQHA, American Quarter Horse Association and the NCHA, National Cutting Horse Association.

Survivors include his wife, Kaye, children, Rita (Jerry) Willis of New Maysville, Allen (Cindy) Jeffries of Crawfordsville, step-children, Kim (Jim) Cox and Scott (Markanna) White, all of Plainfield, 8 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Contributions may be given to one's favorite charity in memory of Don.
