Diane (McWhorter) Lizard

Diane (McWhorter) Lizard, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the Franciscan Hospice House, Indianapolis.  She was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 19, 1953, a daughter of the late Carey McWhorter and Renee (Rausch) Collman.

Diane worked in healthcare for many years, and retired from The Indiana Surgery Center East. She was an avid reader, but most of all, she enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren.

Diane is survived by her daughter, Erica (Brandon) Adams of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Madelynn and Mason Adams; 5 siblings, Patricia Colestock of Knightstown, Linda Shepard of Avon, Landa Hutzel of Avon, John (Gwen) McWhorter of New Palestine, and Alan McWhorter (Betty) of Indianapolis.

A Celebration of Diane’s life will take place at the IBEW Local 1393 Annex Building, 3719 S. East St. Suite B, Indianapolis,IN 46227 on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 1:00 – 5:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Diane’s name to the Lymphatic Education & Research Network, Lymphatic Education and Research Network, Lymphedema Lymphatic Disease | Lymphatic Education & Research Network (lymphaticnetwork.org)
