Diana Louise Miller

April 3, 1942 — April 5, 2024

Danville

Diana Louise (Decker) Miller from Danville, Age 82, passed away peacefully on April 5,2024.
She was born April 3, 1942 in Crawfordville, In. to Robert and Elsie Decker. She was a 1960 graduate of
Danville High School. She married Larry Ellison Miller on November 4, 1961 and spent 38 years together
until his death in 1999.
Diana and Larry had three beautiful children: Jerry, Nancy and Michael. She spent most of her married
life being a homemaker, providing the most loving care to her children. Diana would also work along
the side of her husband and boys on their family farm outworking them all. If you knew Diana, you
would know that her calves muscles would make you jealous and put anyone to shame!
Diana enjoyed life to the fullest and was a kid at heart. She lived her life with integrity...if you met Diana
you knew her…she was the same genuine person in public as she was in private. She loved spending
time outdoors working in her garden, tending to her flowers, playing croquet and working in her yard.
She loved to cook and so did her family. She knew that the way to get her family together was though
the stomach! Many family meals featured her famous fried chicken or beef and noodles along with a
homemade pie or cake…her chicken Thanksgivings will truly be missed! Diana also enjoyed playing
cards. Many times the family get-togethers ended in several games of Euchre and when there was not a
get-together her and her sisters would meet on weekends and sit around the table and play for hours.
Diana loved attending church and Bible studies at Northview Christian Church and made many friends
that felt like family.
Diana is survived by her sons, Jerry Ellison (Anita) Miller and Michael Gene (Rhonda) Miller. Sisters, Judy
Kay Decker and Karen Jane Groff; Brother James Wilbur (Jane) Decker. Diana was blessed with five
Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren along with many Nieces and Nephews.
Diana was proceeded in death by her parents Robert and Elsie, her husband Larry, daughter Nancy and
Brother Robert Jr.
The family would like to thank Care Hospice and Life’s Journey of Avon for the loving care and support
that they provided in making Diana’s final days on this earth peaceful and comforting to her and her
family.
