David Lee Reed

David Lee Reed, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away at home on June 4, 2024. Dave was born on June 16, 1957 in Indianapolis to the late Walter and Elsie (née Birge) Reed, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Judy Ann Barnett; sister-in-law, Vickie Reed; and nephew, Christopher Reed. 
Dave was a 1975 graduate of Cascade High School. He was a car enthusiast that enjoyed building computers and collecting rare or unusual items. He loved to travel and experience new destinations. He would fondly recount stories of his time in Hawaii and China, two of his favorite destinations, to all who would listen. Dave enjoyed working hard to make his ideas a reality; his work ethic led him to owning and operating Discount Smokers Warehouse in Clayton for many years. 
Dave is survived by four brothers and their families: Walter (Donna) Reed, Jr. of Clayton, Harold (DeeAnne) Reed of Plainfield, Steven Reed of Indianapolis, and John (Linda) Reed of Indianapolis. Dave is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
