"Wes", 60, of Danville passed away Wednesday evening at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis after an extended illness. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021 at the Hendricks County 4-H Community Building North and South Auditorium, with visitation from 3:00 pm until time of service. His cremains will be laid to rest next to his parents in Danville South Cemetery at a later date. The wearing of masks is recommended, but optional.
"Wes" was born in Lebanon, Indiana to the late Charles G. "Charlie" and Patricia "Pat" (Sanders) Morelock. He graduated from Danville High School with the class of 1979. "Wes" had worked with his father, Charlie, operating Morelock & Son Excavating Service for many years as well as being employed by the Town of Brownsburg's water treatment department from 1995 until 2018. He was also a farrier by trade. Because of his love for horses, "Wes" was an active horseman with memberships in the Hendricks County 4-H Horse and Pony Club for 28 years, the Indiana Hoosier Horse Council, the Hendricks County Saddle Club, and also served as an American Quarter Horse Judge. "Wes" attended the Hadley Friends Church.
Survivors include his sons, Tyler Morelock of Lebanon, Justin Wheat of Danville, grandson, Wyatt Morelock, sisters, Susan "Susie" (Jim) Chezem, Jamie Sue Huffman, all of Danville, and nieces and nephews.
