Carol Romer, 78, of Plainfield, formerly of Clayton, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. She was born in Indianapolis and was the daughter of the late James and Flora (Patterson) Robertson. She grew up in Spencer Indiana, graduating from Spencer High School. She married Michael Romer and together they raised a family of four.
Carol worked for many years at Target in administration. She loved to cook for her family. She enjoyed camping and fishing trips with the Bass Club. She loved to dance, especially the Jitterbug, with her sister, while Laura played DJ on the record player. In her later years she enjoyed a good card game of Euchre or sitting and crocheting.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Laura Troy of Plainfield, son, David (Rene) Romer, and stepson, Bill (Jimmie) Romer of Monrovia; grandchildren, Jennifer Romer, David Romer, Jr., Zachary McKamey, Andrew Romer, Richard Romer, Megan Romer, Danielle Romer, Bill Romer, II, Tyler Romer, Katie Macintosh, Chase Macintosh, and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Carol is predeceased by her husband, Michael Romer, her son Michael Romer, Jr., her siblings, James Robertson, Jr., Sandy Robertson and Diane Robertson.
