Beverly Jeanne Eubank,92, of New Winchester, passed away peacefully Monday, June 19th at the Village of Avon Assisted Living, She was born in Indianapolis on July 3, 1930, a daughter of Marjorie Hadley Sears and Roe Sears.
She graduated from Howe High School in 1948. She married the late Robert J Eubank on August 25, 1950. They built, owned, and operated a KOA campground in Cloverdale from 1970-1980. She served on the national Board of Directors for Kampgrounds of America. In 1981 she built Bev’s Place in New Winchester. It was a small grocery store, gas station, and grill. It was the place to be for coffee, breakfast, or lunch for the local farmers. She loved bird watching but most everyone knew her for her love of butterflies. You never saw her without some kind of butterfly on.
She was a member of West Bridge Church and loved her church family, she just loved people and didn’t know a stranger. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone and loved to give and receive hugs. Most of all she loved her family. She was very proud of her grandkids and 22 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie, and favorite son in law Paul Smith, grandchildren Rolynn (Brian) Ramirez, Rocky (Emily) Eubank, Justin (Sara) Eubank, Joshua Eubank, Jenni (Justin) Pelley, Anne (John) Johansson, Joan (Jesse) Tucker, Gina (Shane) Grove, Todd (Nicole) Smith, Chad (Sabrina) Smith, Dustin Smith, Travis (Kaitlyn) Smith and all 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, and sons Rob, Rick, and Ronnie Eubank, and her brother, Alan Sears.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 23, 2023, from 4-8 pm at West Bridge Church, 1521 S. County Road 75 W., Danville, IN 46122. A funeral service will be held the following day at 11:00 am with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow in New Winchester Cemetery.
